Self-assessment tax returns are long and complex with many supplementary pages and the taxpayer has a responsibility to collate all the appropriate financial information and complete the forms correctly. The forms need to be submitted to the Inland Revenue by 30 September each year if you want them to calculate your tax bill, which gives you less than six months to complete the task.
